Ok, in order to make a good robot you have to add wires and a hoses connecting things, and some scratches dents, signature thing (like my biohazard sign,) and most importantly, things like rotating gears, pulleys, and some sort of power source.
And if the robot is an enemy, make it have an uber weapon, but if it is a protagonist, make it not have really heavy armor on.
